This book comes to answer the question of how we can nurture and empower our children so that they will learn to care about our world and be able to take action when needed.

Craig and Marc Kielburger received world attention when they stood up for child laborers when they were just kids themselves. My Grandma Follows Me on Twitter: And Other First-World Problems We're Lucky to Have

When it comes to first-world problems, it is often good to laugh at ourselves! We live in a time when we are blessed to suffer from problems such a coffee order at Starbucks gone terribly wrong (not to mention that your name was incorrectly spelled on the cup) to yoga-mat-poking-you-in-the-ribs commuter issues. (We won’t even talk about the first-world trauma of locations with no Wi-Fi!)

Marc and Craig Kielburger come to give us some perspective, laugh with us, and share some real-world strategies to make a difference in our daily lives. They dissect these various complaints in a lighthearted way that actually reveal our blessings when viewed with the right perspective. The Kielburger brothers share a moment of levity with the reader and show us that we have so much for which to be grateful.

Everyone's Birthday:
A Kid's Adventure in Thailand

This is a colorful children’s book written by Marc Kielburger based on his true-life experience in Thailand.

As a young man, Marc decided to travel to Thailand to work as a volunteer. When he arrived in the community of Klong Toey, he was overwhelmed by the poverty there. His comfortable upbringing in Canada had not prepared him for the circumstances he faced in Thailand. Within one day of arrival, he had prepared to return to Canada.

Marc’s departure was interrupted by an invitation to a birthday party unlike any he had ever previously attended. Not only did this birthday party change his plans to leave Thailand, it changed his life. Marc was able to gain a richer and deeper understanding of poverty, friendship, and the power that of just one person to leave a lasting positive impact on the world. Everyone’s Birthday is a meaningful read for young readers and parents alike.
